CRUSA, The Kirchner Impact Foundation and PROCOMER Collaborate to Host Kirchner Investment Academy

Unique Program Focused on Demystifying Impact Investment for the Costa Rican Entrepreneurship Ecosystem will take place April 17-19

Jacksonville, FL and San José, Costa Rica, March 20, 2023 – CRUSA Foundation and The Kirchner Impact Foundation (KIF) are pleased to announce that they will be hosting the Kirchner Investment Academy program next month as part of their collaboration to strengthen the impact investment ecosystem in Costa Rica.

The Kirchner Investment Academy (KIA) is an intensive training program that demystifies the investment process for entrepreneurs and introduces eager, yet perhaps inexperienced, “angel” investors and other ecosystem actors to the art of deploying disciplined capital. The academy will be held on April 17-19 at the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER) facilities.

“At the CRUSA Foundation, our commitment is to drive the transformation towards a more prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive country. We are excited to partner with key players such as the Kirchner Impact Foundation to strengthen Central America’s talent and impact investment ecosystem through the Kirchner Investment Academy in Costa Rica, a pioneering program in our region,” said Flora Montealegre, Executive Director.

KIA has provided instruction to over 900 entrepreneurs and potential angel investors across 15 countries worldwide. The majority of the participants have highlighted the great value of the program in understanding and harnessing the power of impact investing for the development and growth of promising early-stage businesses oriented toward social and environmental impact.

“We are very excited to teach the Kirchner Investment Academy in Costa Rica. The level of talent in the region is truly impressive, and this program has the potential to have a significant impact. We expect this knowledge to become a permanent fixture in the ecosystem, enabling this region’s continued growth and development of talented individuals.” mentioned Adrian Garcia, Director, and Lead Instructor of the Kirchner Investment Academy.

The Academy is being hosted in collaboration with PROCOMER, which supports Costa Rican companies throughout their internationalization process, especially micro, small, and medium-sized companies.

“This Academy is of high value for entrepreneurship actors and small and medium enterprises in Costa Rica. From the Access to Finance Unit at PROCOMER, we have noticed that good financial practices and knowledge on Investment and Venture Capital issues help our clients to develop a more professional ability to grow their business, always looking to export and reach international markets,” said Marcial Chaverri, Director of New Exporters Creation and Access to Finance.
