Impact Hub Tegucigalpa and the Kirchner Impact Foundation Collaborate to Support the Impact Investing Ecosystem in the Central American Region

Jacksonville, FL and Tegucigalpa MDC, February 27, 2023 – Impact Hub Tegucigalpa and Kirchner Impact Foundation (KIF) are pleased to announce a unique collaboration to strengthen the impact investment ecosystem in Central America. This important collaboration will have an inclusive, gender-lens and SDG-focused approach.

Impact Hub aims to foster and consolidate an impact investment network in Honduras and the Central American region with the participation of the different actors of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The collaboration between KIF and Impact hub will facilitate the Kirchner Investment Academy and the soon to be announced CONECTANDO event.

Impact Hub is the main global network that catalyzes innovation in companies, organizations, and entrepreneurs as a motor for the development of impact solutions. Their work is focused on the articulation and linking of the actors of the entrepreneurship ecosystem at a national and international level for sustainable development of the region, through a vision of triple impact and comprehensive collaboration.

The Kirchner Investment Academy, developed by KIF, focuses heavily on familiarizing aspiring individuals with the fundamentals of impact investing, from an investor’s perspective. The academy will be structured as a boot camp-style program for relevant ecosystem actors with a mission to help prepare a new generation of entrepreneurs and capital allocators to actively participate in their own local impact investing ecosystems.

“By promoting and boosting the impact investment agenda in the country and the Central American region through the CONECTANDO event and the Kirchner Investment Academy, we will help more entrepreneurs and investors to come together and to actually work together to develop innovative solutions that can turn Central America into an attractive destination for entrepreneurship,” mentioned Josué Reyes, General Manager of Impact Hub Tegucigalpa.

The Kirchner Investment Academy has trained more than 800 people in 10 countries around the world. Many participants have highlighted the great value of this introductory bootcamp-style program for understanding and harnessing the power of impact investing for the development and growth of promising early-stage companies focused on social and environmental impact. The program has a rating of 9.9/10, obtained from participant surveys 6 months after the program and 99% of participants recommend this program to anyone in the investor-entrepreneur ecosystem.

“As a native of Honduras and the Central American region, I couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with Impact Hub, Tegucigalpa. They have been at the forefront of an underserved market by promoting impact-driven businesses, which is in great alignment with the Kirchner Impact Foundation. More importantly, I believe that together we can serve as an important resource for an untapped ecosystem of ventures that are aiming to have a positive social and environmental impact in the region.” Commented Eduardo Garay, Adjunct Director – Kirchner Fellowship.
